EPIC Games Platform and Related Services
EPIC Games is a video game & software developer and publisher that offers various products and services for gamers and creators. Their main services include:
Epic Games website: The official website of EPIC Games, where you can find news, updates, support, and community features for their products.
Epic Games Store: An online store where you can buy and download games and software from EPIC Games and other developers. You can also find free games, exclusive deals, and in-game items.
Epic Games Launcher: A software application that you need to install and run on your computer to access the games and software you bought from the Epic Games Store. You can also use it to manage your library, update your products, and chat with your friends.
Unreal Engine: A powerful and versatile game engine that allows you to create your own games and applications. You can use it for free or pay a royalty fee if you publish your products commercially.
Rules for Using and Accessing EPIC Games Platform and Related Services
If you want to use the EPIC Games platform and related services on school devices, you need to follow the following rules:
Rule 1: Students should not log onto school devices with a personal account. This is to prevent unauthorized access, data loss, or inappropriate content. Please use the custom account that the school has created (See below). You may use your own account on your own device. But you must use it for school appropriate content.
Rule 2: School devices have a custom account with user limitations enforced with a Parental PIN code. This is to ensure that you only access the games and software that are appropriate within the set limitations.
Please note that these rules are enforced by teachers, programme coordinators, and Head of School. You are expected to follow them as part of the school’s code of conduct. If you violate these rules, you may face disciplinary actions or lose your privileges to use access the content.
