The Manualo
Everything below this point is contextual information, but in order to fully understand how to use X-Sign (Digital Signage) there is no way around just reading the manual linked above and/or figuring out by using the software yourself.
What is X-Sign (Digital Signage)?
Short answer : it is BenQs digital signage management solution.
BenQ X-Sign is a suite of software tools which work together to allow for the design of dynamic multimedia content and the scheduled, dynamic broadcasting of that content to compatible (and licensed!) digital signage devices. For example, many business use X-Sign software combined with BenQ digital signage displays for restaurant menus, hotel lobbies, and many other use cases.
X-Sign for Digital Signage is a totally separate solution from X-Sign Broadcast. Broadcast is a free/included way of broadcasting content to BenQ IFPs (also managed from the BenQ admin console). Broadcast is much simpler and its main use case is for pushing simple messages to groups of displays at the same time, not for digital signage.
Both Digital Signage and Broadcast management features can be toggled between by selecting the “CMS” button for Digital Signage and the “Broadcast” button for Broadcast in the upper left of the X-Sign management screen (see below screenshot).

In addition, Bunkyo-lobby-2 is currently being used to display the "school day rotation" schedule at Bunkyo campus for quick reference by the students and faculty. It should also not be adjusted without first confirming with ICT and school leadership.

Design
BenQ develops a proprietary content creation software compatible with X-Sign called “X-Sign Designer”. This is what you will use to create content including images, graphics, videos, text and other multimedia. The content is then uploaded to X-Sign from your desktop as either an individual file or as part of a “Project”.

There is a browser based “lite” version called “Designer Express” which is accessible from the X-Sign management console, however it should be noted that while this is quicker and simpler to access and use its functionality is highly limited as compared with the desktop version of the Designer software. Therefore, it is recommended to use the desktop version for anything more complex than configuring static images and text.
Schedule
You can configure schedules which determine what content (individual file or Project) is displayed when on a per-device or channel basis. See manual for more detail.
