Phase 1: Setting up AutoProctor
You will first be in Pencil Spaces and leave the call running during the exam. When prompted, the instructor will share an exam link with you. Copy and paste this into your browser (Chrome/Safari). Once the exam session begins you will be greeted with an information page. Make sure your email and name are correct, then press START TEST
You will then see a QR Code. Scan this with your secondary device (smartphone) and follow the steps below from Phase 2: Auxiliary Device Setup. Once you finish, proceed with the setup on your computer.

Phase 2: Auxiliary Device Setup
After you scan the QR code with your secondary device, there will be a few steps to go through. Continue through as indicated below. Once you get through them, it will ask you to go back to your primary device (computer) and continue with the steps there. You can place your phone behind you at this point.

Phase 3: Launching your exam
After setting up your phone, you’ll need to share your entire screen. Follow the remaining steps on your computer and then the exam will begin. Make sure your secondary device is placed in a way that let’s the proctor see you, your desk, your paper, and computer screen. (See picture example)

During the exam, below is what you will see. You can see the remaining time as a circle on the right. Note that this time may also include time for you to read a statement, and for you to use Adobe Scan to send your responses. Once the timer hits 0 your exam should auto-submit.
Additionally, you will see various tools like navigating, zooming in/out for PDFs, and even a calculator if enabled by your exams instructor.
Once you’ve completed your exam and finished sending the scanned responses to your instructor. Click on the SUBMIT button to end the session.
